So, you’re ready to start a company, are you?

Congrats! 🎉

I applaud your initiative and the fact that you’re here means that you’re smarter than me when I launched any of my businesses. Seeking guidance and council is a good move. You can avoid a lot of mistakes that way.

Running a business is one of the hardest yet most satisfying things you could ever do in your career but let me be very clear…

It is NOT for everyone.

The stress that comes with knowing you only eat what you harvest, can be paralyzing to many people. To others, it is exactly what keeps us waking up in the morning and running full speed ahead.

I’ll never forget my first day working for myself. It was the first day I ever felt like myself in my career. In every other job I felt like I didn’t belong. I couldn’t quiet the maniac in my brain telling me to run, get out of there, and just go do it myself. For years, I felt that inside of me but I squashed it believing that I didn’t truly have what it took, I wasn’t experienced enough, and I’d probably fail.

The thing is, I was right…mostly.

I probably wasn’t experienced enough and I definitely failed, but getting through that and soldiering forward with a smile on my face was everything I needed to see that I had what it took. The fact that I’m still here means that I still have what it takes.

You will not know for sure if you are meant to work for yourself until you try it and I want to make that as easy as possible.

In this playbook, I’m going to show you how to start a solo business in just 7 days. By the 7th day, you will be ready to hit the ground running and start selling. I am planning a follow up playbook to this called How To Become Profitable In Less Than 45 Days. As an aside, if you need to be profitable in less than 45 days, you’re probably not ready to start your own business unless you’ve already got a client or two to hold you over.

7 Days To Starting a Business

Look, I’m going to level with you…7 days is REALLY fast. Even if you double the time and get it started in 2 weeks, it’s still really fast. But, it’s doable.

And here’s the thing…If you can’t do this in 7 days, or even 14 days, that doesn’t make you a failure who should give up. It just means you’re a human being who had a life outside of an aggressive 7 day schedule to start a business. It’s ok, just take more time. This is the “if I had to do it in 7 days” program but that doesn’t mean the pace is recommended.

The following is a 7 day program to walk you through all of the primary exercises you need to launch a business. There thousands of things I could’ve added to this, but this is the stripped down and most important stuff.

Here’s how it works

Throughout this 7-day playbook, I’m going to ask you a lot of questions. Answer them.

I’m going to give you assignments. Do them.

Try not to skip any step that I’ve laid out and if I ask a question, do not just phone it in. Think about it. This is helping you to plan what you are going to do it and help you understand why you’re doing it. A good business will make money and provide you with some freedom. A great job will do all of that and feed your soul.

There’s no time to waste.
